MT-1512 Touch-screen Digital Multimeter — More Intuitive Testing for Repair and Maintenance
When troubleshooting equipment or testing circuits, technicians often need to switch between voltage, resistance, continuity, and other measurements. For professionals, a multimeter isn't just about what it can measure—intuitive operation and clear readings can make everyday work significantly more efficient.
The Pro'sKit MT-1512 Touch-screen Digital Multimeter is a compact smart digital multimeter designed for a wide range of measurement needs. It features a 6000-count display, a large color screen with touch controls, and multiple functions including Auto Measurement, True RMS, NCV non-contact voltage detection, LIVE wire detection, as well as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and temperature measurement. For technicians who regularly work on electrical and electronic equipment, one meter can handle a wide variety of everyday testing tasks.
Feature 1 | Large Color Display with Dual Readout for Clearer Results
Clear readings are essential when troubleshooting, especially when measurement results need to be checked quickly.
The MT-1512 features a 4.6-inch large color display with dual readout, allowing measurement values, units, and the current function status to be viewed at a glance. Its 6000-count LCD displays the corresponding units for each measurement function and also supports automatic polarity indication and over-range display.
Touch-sensitive function keys and the SEL button make switching between measurement functions more intuitive. When you need to temporarily retain a reading, the Data Hold function keeps the current measurement on screen for easy reference.
Feature 2 | Auto Measurement Mode for Faster Everyday Testing
For jobs that frequently require switching between voltage, resistance, and continuity checks, the MT-1512's Auto Measurement Mode makes operation more convenient.
When powered on, the meter automatically enters Auto Mode, allowing it to detect and measure AC/DC voltage, resistance, and continuity. Simply connect the black test lead to COM and the red test lead to the V/Ω/Hz input terminal, then properly contact the circuit under test. The meter will automatically identify the appropriate measurement.
During continuity testing, the buzzer sounds when the measured resistance is below approximately 50Ω, making it easier to check wiring, connections, and equipment without repeatedly changing settings.
For specific measurements, use the SEL button to switch between diode, capacitance, frequency, temperature, and AC/DC current modes, giving you the flexibility to choose between automatic and dedicated measurement functions.
Feature 3 | NCV + LIVE Wire Detection for Convenient Electrical Checks
Before taking measurements, technicians often need to check whether nearby wires or outlets are energized.
The MT-1512 features NCV non-contact AC voltage detection. When the NCV sensing area at the top of the meter is brought near a live AC conductor, the meter indicates different signal levels based on the detected field strength, accompanied by audible alerts at different frequencies.
It also provides a LIVE wire detection function. Following the instructions in the user manual, connect the red test lead to the V input terminal and use the single probe to help identify a live wire.
Please note that NCV is an auxiliary detection function. As stated in the official manual, NCV results should not be used as the sole means of determining whether a conductor is energized. Outlet construction, insulation thickness, and external interference may affect detection. Always follow proper electrical safety procedures.
Feature 4 | Multiple Measurements in One Meter—from Circuit Testing to Temperature
In addition to AC/DC voltage, resistance, and continuity, the MT-1512 supports AC/DC current, capacitance, frequency, diode, and temperature measurements.
For electronic troubleshooting, diode and capacitance modes can be used to check components. Frequency can be measured in Hz mode, while the included K-type temperature probe enables temperature measurement.
The meter supports up to 600V AC/DC voltage measurement and features True RMS for AC measurements. It is rated CAT III 600V, Pollution Degree 2. Current measurement supports up to 10A; according to the operating instructions, measurements between 2–10A should not exceed 10 seconds continuously.
With multiple commonly used testing functions integrated into one device, technicians can handle a wider range of tasks without constantly switching between different instruments.
Feature 5 | USB Type-C Charging + Built-In Work Light
The MT-1512 features a built-in 3.7V 800mAh lithium-ion battery and a USB Type-C charging port. A USB Type-C charging cable is included, eliminating the need to regularly replace disposable batteries.
A built-in LED work light provides extra visibility when working in dimly lit areas. Simply press and hold the Data Hold/Light button to turn the light on or off.
Standard accessories also include a pair of test leads and a K-type temperature probe, providing the essentials for both electrical and temperature measurements.
Who Is the MT-1512 For?
The MT-1512 is ideal for professional technicians who regularly inspect and troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment. If your work involves measuring voltage, resistance, continuity, current, capacitance, frequency, diodes, or temperature, its multifunction design allows one compact meter to cover a broad range of everyday testing needs.
For users accustomed to traditional digital multimeters who want a clearer display and more intuitive operation, the large color screen, Auto Measurement Mode, and touch controls offer a practical upgrade.
