Place the wire near the base of the cutting edges, keep the jaws perpendicular to the wire, and cut through once without twisting the blades sideways.

It is made from SK5 steel and is 130 mm long. Official specifications state cutting capacities of Ø1.6 mm copper wire and Ø0.8 mm soft iron wire.

Do not cut piano wire, hard steel wire, screws, or energized conductors. Cut wire ends may fly, so safety glasses are recommended.

Remove flux and metal debris, apply a small amount of lubricant to the joint, and keep the cutting edges dry. Stop using the tool if an edge chips.

A thin-blade diagonal cutter is suitable for precision wire trimming. Use a heavy-duty diagonal cutter or cable cutter for thicker or harder material.

Confirm that the primary material and diameter do not exceed the rated cutting capacity and determine whether a lead-catcher or ESD version is required.
